Today is the first day of the year 2009, wish you all very very very happy new year.
Those of you who are practicing Dharma very seriously, I pray to Buddha so that you should have no obstacle in your practice; those of you who are very devoted to Dharma and doing all that you can to serve the Buddha, sever the Dharma, sever the Sangha as well as serve the entire humanity, including your family, I pray to Buddha so that you should have great success, lots of happiness, lots of peace, lots of prosperity in your life and great, profound harmony in your family and in your life. I wish you all my best.
At the same time I also wish all of us, humanity, we all are part of humanity, may we be a good example to all the humanity on this earth so that this world would be a better place. May each and every one of us can support each and every one of the human beings on this earth, so that we can be good friends to all that live on the earth. And also we should be good and positive and productive, let’s say master of this planet. So that the environment, the wild life, all the sentient beings on this earth, they should thrive, they should be happy and they should be in peace.

今天是2009年的第一天，祝你新年非常、非常、非常快乐。
对于非常认真修习佛法的你们，我向佛陀祈请，愿你的修持无有障碍。对于非常致力于佛法，并尽其所能承事佛、承事法、承事僧，同时承事包括家人在内的全体人类的你们，我向佛陀祈请，愿你的人生里能够拥有巨大的成功、无尽的喜悦、无边的安宁、无穷的荣耀，愿你的家庭和睦、生命和谐。我祝福你们。
与此同时，我愿我们每一个人，我们都是人类的一员，愿我们能够在此地球之上成为全体人类的典范，让这个世界变得更加美好；愿我们每一个人都能够在此地球之上相互支持、彼此关怀，让我们成为地球之上每一个有情的好友。我们应该成为良善的、正面的、有建设性的，地球之主人。这样，我们的环境、野生动物，地球上的一切有情，才能够繁盛、喜乐、和平。
