    噶玛巴的神奇示显

          昨天晚上一个叫小金币的朋友在MSN上突然间问我:怎么平复内心的躁动和烦恼?其实是个好大的题目呢。小金币要是以为多多能够解释清楚,以我为师,那她错了;要是多多自视为师,给别人瞎开药方,那就更错了。多多只能把自己放到手术台解剖,具体问题具体分析了一下。其实也是说得不明不白含糊其辞的,最后只能搪塞道:其实我的内心也不怎么平静,我说的仅供参考,云云。平时没修好,实在是没有智慧帮助别人,惭愧。
          今天早上突然看到放在书架上已经半年多却没怎么看过的国际噶举通讯《Dharma Nectar》,信手拿过来一翻,看到一篇去年3月7号噶玛巴接受采访时的稿件,哈哈,上师在讲述如何面对各种烦恼困扰呢!上师的加持又一次真实示显,如此恩德,真的无以为报!
          下面就是那一篇稿子的节选,因为多多怕自己翻译得不准确,把英文原版也对照着贴出来,不知道小金币会不会看见?
     

    Q: Since you came into exile you had to face numerous issues. How do you manage to reconcile the practice of middle path with these troublesome situations? Please explain for the benefit of all of us ,as it will help us in our practice of Dharma.

     

    问:自您出走以来,你遭遇了无数的状况,您是如何在这种种棘手的问题中设法找到协调解决的中道的?为了让我们所有人能从中获益,请您讲述一下,也许这还会对我们的修持有所帮助。

     

    A: Once one is born in this world particularly being born in the time frame work as in these days where dramatic changes is taking place all over the world ,so regardless of who so ever you are, one is bound to face challenges of various different kinds and I am no exception in that regards.

     

    噶玛巴:当一个人来到世界上,特别是当今这一个周遭充满戏剧性变化的时代,不管是谁都要面对各种各样不同的挑战,而我在这种情况下当然也不能例外。

     

    Actually giving my age, I have faced probably more challenges and difficulties then my share. But ,fortunately ,I have in my life, able to make connection with the Buddhist teachings, which has played an important role in the outlook ;I have about the surroundings and myself.

     

    事实上以我现在的年纪,也许面对了比同龄人更多的挑战和困难,但幸运的是在我的人生中能够与佛法建立联系,佛法对我的很多观点都产生了重要的影响——当我看待周遭的事物和看待自身时。

     

    Due to the knowledge and some training in the Buddhist traditions that I have gained, I have been able to peruse, has allowed me to look at situations in a more open and fluid way. It is clearly pointed out and apparent in experience that everything around us is unquestionably impermanent and relatively real at the best. And given that we need to move through the impermanent and relative fluidity of the world, one is not stuck with any situation, no matter how terrible or good forever. That is my basic approach.

     

    籍由我所接受到的佛教传统上的认知和训练,我才能够去细细地思维,容许自己更开放和更圆融地观察各种状况。这样很容易就能发现我们所体验到的一切现象都毫无疑问是无常的,充其量只是相对真实而已。既然如此,我们需要参得透世间的无常与缘起变易,才不会被任何情势所困——无论多糟糕或是多美好。这就是我的基本方法。

     

    At the very foundation, I think it is very important to understand that the very fundamental practice of dharma is to be able to challenge various mental afflictions, which normally dictate the course of our lives and thus lead us to experience different kinds of sufferings. So the very purpose of spiritually has to be understood to challenge mental afflictions. The spiritual practices serves as a wholesome antidote to facilitate and to completely uproot varieties of disturbing mental emotions. We must through education learn that we also, within the reasons of our mind, have the strength and through the support of the spiritual methods, the ability and the strength to actually deal with forces of mental afflictions.

     

    在基础上来说,我想很重要的一点是,要了解修持佛法最基本的是要能够向各种心的烦恼提出挑战,这些烦恼往往会伴随终生,因而使我们经历了各种不同的苦。所以一定要明白修持的主要目的是征服心的烦恼。修心就是完全根除各种烦恼情绪的良方。我们必须通过学习了解到由于我的心,我们是具有力用的,而通过各种修持方法,这种力用实际上是可以消除烦恼本身的力量的。

     

    It would be wrong to think that to be spiritual is to be laid back and try to find ways to relax. To be spiritual is to recognize the challenges, to face and resolve the conflict of mind itself and then more trained and experienced one becomes more free and liberated from once mental afflictions and thereby circumstantial obstacles.

     

    如果认为修行就是休息,就是想办法放松那就错了。修行,是发现挑战,面对它,并解决内心本身的冲突。这样当一个人越训练有素越有经验,就越能够从内心的烦恼中解脱,因此也能从相关的各种障碍中得到超脱。
